Los espectadores de ITV Emmerdale preguntan ‘cómo es posible’ después de notar un agujero en la trama ‘poco realista’

Soap fans have taken to social media to point out a rather idealistic way that a character is being treated by medics.

In the latest trip to ITV’s Emmerdale, viewers saw Chas Dingle [Lucy Pargeter] told she needs a biopsy after discovering a lump on her breast. that doctors will reveal she is suffering from the same condition that claimed her mum Faith’s life.

However, fans noticed during the scenes that there was one majorly unrealistic plot point that script writers have failed to consider. That being the speed at which doctors are handling the mum-of-three’s time in and out of hospitals and securing appointments.

Over on X, once Twitter, a user wrote: “If I ever god forbid find a lump in my breast I’d hope to get a GP appointment, a specialist appointment, a mammogram, and a biopsy all within 48 hours.”

Another questioned: “How come they never have to wait months for a doctor’s appointment in #Emmerdale?”. A third remarked: “Wow, that’s fast for the NHS!”.

More branded it as “unrealistic” and a fan of the soap also noticed that even the local Emmerdale doctor seemed confused by how fast things were progressing: “Even Liam is like ‘You sure? You have an appointment? Already?”

Elsewhere in the Yorkshire village, Paula Lane’s newly introduced character Ella Forster had a chance encounter with local GP Manpreet Sharma [Rebecca Sarker] that will eventually lead to her forming more permeant roots within the community when she lands a receptionist job at a new doctor’s surgery.

Also, heart breaking scenes showed the moment that Bob Hope [Tony Audenshaw] comes face-to-face with daughter Cathy [Gabrielle Dowling] as funeral plans are arranged following the cruel loss of her twin brother Heath Hope in a car accident earlier this month. The teen made a devastating admission after tempers flared during song discussions.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX
